Halifax River Yacht Club’s mission since its founding in 1896 is to preserve club traditions while providing members and guests with outstanding nautical, social and dining activities in a welcoming environment.  

HRYC has a long-standing history of amateur boating activities including The COMMODORE'S CUP sailboat racing, The biennial GULFSTREAMER CHALLENGE from Ponce Inlet to Charleston, S.C.   Also, summer YOUTH SAILING CAMP, Christmas Boat Parade, Build-a-Boat and small boat Poker Run events to name a few, and HRYC continues to provide fun-filled activities to the community.
